You'll be right so long as your flights are on time. Just take a look at the airport map to familiarize yourself with the layout beforehand. The transfer area can be a little confusing if you don't follow the signs properly and the shopping area once through security is a bit of a maze.

As others have said though, HKG is very user-friendly. There are lots of signs in English and most airport employees speak it as well. They (including security staff) are also very friendly and helpful - perhaps something you might be surprised at coming from the US.

It's a shame you will be rushing through as it really is an exceptional airport - especially if you have access to the Wing.
