B6 was never going after that market anyways. They are barely making enough money to pay the bills (see the comment about their ability to pay the debt obligation in the LH stake purchase article in that thread), and going into a market as competitve as the N-S runs on the W coast would be virtual suicide. Yes, they "took on" the NE Corridor market with JFK-BOS/IAD, but those are all alternate airports. Most business folk would fly LGA-DCA or take the train over JFK-IAD (and the extra costs once you pay for the cabs would almost balance out the fares). JFK-BOS competes OK, but not fantastically.
Bottom line is that it would be a money-losing venture, or at least not as profitable as other routes B6 can run. So it won't happen. If it was that profitable they would've found a way to do it already.
