I bought a signature seat on a flight from MKE - LAS. I thought it was worth it when I flew back from LAS and had to sit in a Saver Seat. The MKE - LAS flight was full because of canceled flights from Tuesday's Snow Storm but when I returned from LAS, the flight wasn't full but every Signature Seat was occupied. So I think the new Signature Seating on the MD80's is a hit with passengers.
