I could give you guys the entire chat transcript if you guys want, but essentially I'm screwed unless Delta initiates the change. The travel agency said that the fare is no longer available and that a name change cannot be done without changing the ticket itself.

I'd be willing to call Delta again, but my last 3 attempts have come to the agent saying. That it's impossible* and that the travel agent has to do it. When I tell them it's the travel agent who said that they couldn't do it without changing the fare they say it's not their problem and if the travel agent can't do it they can't do it.

* - Regarding whether it's imposible or not... It's definitely possible. A travel agency once booked several of the employees simply under the company name. So there were 10 tickets booked under "Adecco Group" (not my actual company) instead of actual names. Within 10 minutes we all had the reservations changed and fixed.

I got quite upset with the agents who kept saying it was impossible, even though I have had this fixed before. Sure they may have to have a special department do it. But why lie to me? Especially when I told them I've had it done. I realize it's easier just to regurgitate the same line than look things up, but we all know there are exceptions to the rules. It's not like I'm trying to change the name from her name to someone elses. It's just ridiculous.
