Thanks for your advice, everyone. I've decided to give The Atlantic a try and will report back at the end of January.
I did look into the St. Regis, but they have very few rooms with two beds, and since I'm traveling with my daughter, I need that. The only rooms with two beds they have left for my weekend are too expensive, so I was able to rule that out.
I continued to go back and forth between the Boca Resort and The Atlantic. I decided to try The Atlantic, but then my travel agent reported back that the only rooms with two beds they have available are in a higher price category. So I told him to book me a Yacht Club room at the Boca Resort. He then called me back to tell me (1) the Boca Resort has a 14-day cancelation policy, while The Atlantic has a 3-day cancelation policy, (2) the Boca Resort adds a mandatory resort fee and valet parking fee to its rates, and (3) the revenue manager of The Atlantic had agreed to give me one of the two bedded rooms at the same price as the cheaper room category that I was trying to book (essentially guaranteeing my Virtuoso space available upgrade now, rather than waiting until check-in time).
So I'm gonna reward the revenue manager's generosity by giving The Atlantic a shot.
