Just to add to the point about DEN, security has always been slow there (although slow used to mean a 15 minute wait).

DIA was a lousy design for an airport with bottlenecks in security, the stuipd trains, and parking. When the designers were given $4.5 billion to build a new airport, they built one with fewer terminals, fewer parking spaces, and way out in BFE. There are better designed airports that were built in the 60's and 70's. Pena should be shot.

Every other airport I have visited is better than DEN. It boils down, in my experience, that DEN security people are lazy and just don't care at all.

That is why I am not flying. It is too inconvenient now. I have canceled 3 trips for October already.
