Does AA market the flight as "acceptably late"? Believe me, if was was up to AA, they wouldn't advertise the on time percentage unless it was great. And most flights aren't. I wouldn't stress it so much. In reality, flights to EWR, LGA, JFK and other airports are notoriously late due to the competition. And no one is willing to cry uncle and fly less.
