While I generally oppose increased .gov regulation, this could have a net-positive impact for the flying public if it were to effectively force the major airlines to fly larger metal into the NYC market in order to serve the same # of pax.
My big hope is that the gov will start charging more realistic fees for Gen Aviation flying into high-traffic areas. Even though it gets mention in NYC-area discussions, TEB generates a significant amount of air traffic due to all of the private / corporate jets.
