Look for AA to eliminate that flight from the schedule soon. And replace it with an identical flight at the identical time using the identical aircraft ... but a different flight number (and of course the reliability rating for the new flight number gets a clean start).
No, that's the funky scheduling algorithm that was developed waaaay before the gov't required airlines to report on-time performance.
