but from the lobby view at the hyatt i do not think the hyatt has the better view because in my opinion you want to look at the pudong skyline. that is the best view as opposed to looking from pudong back to the city.
I wasted my money going up the Oriental Pearl Tower. View from my room at LRM looking towards Pudong is much nicer. What is really important for view is not how high you are but rather what is in front of you. There is practically no structure higher than the Lounge at the LRM all the way through to Pudong (except perhaps the Bund Center office tower a distance away).
You wont however be so "lonely" at the GH with the Oriental Pearl Tower as your friendly neighbour. Not sure how the upcoming Shanghai Financial World Centre affects the view from the GH Lounge though.
