This thread has me thinking about replacing my Canadian passport, that went through the wash a few months back, and looks really, really beaten up. However, the thing still scans properly, and even the Americans, who can be notoriously tough, have never suggested getting a new one. I still carry my UK passport with me all the time, just in case I need something more presentable, but so far I haven't had any trouble. But, I'm thinking I may be on borrowed time...
