No warm nuts for us!
Oh well, the boys were good and slept through all 3 flights and that makes all the difference.
Had inop IFE and were given sky kits for those. Have been offered them before but always turned them down in the past! This time I knew what they were and accepted them graciously.
Great Service from FA "Bo" and recognized a few faces from the C class FA's and said hello. Found out my fav FA of all times (COCO based out of LAX) retired. That is a big loss for UA. Another of that flight crew passed away. Funny how you get to know people even though you may only see them in a service capacity a couple times per year. Need to write a GTEM letter for Bo because I did not have the certs on me to give him. They were training new staff on this flight - 4 new girls - so the surly attitude you often get in E was not readily apparent which is quite refreshing and even if they were a bit slower or unsure of themselves I think there is some good potential there - so long as they don't get jaded. An attractive statuesque African American FA wearing Pearls seems like she will be very well suited to the position. Very professional and great attitude and attentive. Plane in very poor condition though.
General scuttlebutt that UA may get out of this route (sell it?) to LH ?????
No menu's for us but son aged 13 had the chicken with some sort of tomato based sauce - a stew thing and liked it. 6 yr old son refuses to eat on flights but did have the chocolate cake. I had the pasta and later at breakfast the fruit plate - have learned over the years not to eat airline eggs lol. I am never impressed with the airline food. I did miss the nice sandwiches from C but it is only food anyway.
