Yes! Exactly, the last time I turned one in when I checked in, which is the "rule," I got a receipt for the cert. When I checked out, it was deducted from the total, which meant that I had been shorted 1,000 points, plus 300 bonus points ($100 cert @ 10 points + 30% per $1). What kills me is that when I called MR to get it straightened out after it had posted, I had to explain it to the Rewards Rep! At first he told me that there are no awards points for Bonus Bucks, Savvy Savings, Premium Pounds, etc. I told him no, that those are exactly as if I turned in $100 in cash, and he argued with me for about a minute. Then I asked if a supervisor was available. He asked to put me on hold, and when he came back less than 3 minutes later, he apologized, and said "Apparently, you are correct Sir, points are supposed to be rewarded on Bonus Bucks, Savvy Savings.....I will see that your account is updated immediately!" It is one thing when a desk clerk does not do the entry properly, but it is another thing entirely when the Marriott Rewards rep does not know how the system, in which he is responsible for knowing all the details of, actually works. Bad, bad Marriott!
