Ok, I did that through US. They have to price it by sending it to some other department which could take 24 hours. That's fine, but here's where it gets weird. I checked my itinerary online (with US) and the computer tells me that I'm booked in coach for the SQ legs. When I check my itins on UA, they have me in business, but the A380 flight is missing. So I called Singapore airlines and they assured me I'm in business, they even gave me a record locator code that I can see my SQ legs.
Not really sure what information is correct at this point. Kind of afraid to give them my money.
Seen similar things myself on long multi-segment interline tickets. I don't know why it does that, but chances are that UA and US are both fritzy in different ways.
If you confirmed with SQ that 1) your booking exists, and 2) it's in business, you're probably fine. Still, if it were my money I'd insist on some kind of confirmation of as much from US. If your ticket ends up showing that you are booked in Y/M on the 380 flights, then it might look like you accepted a booking in coach and would have to make a change to get back into business.
