I just got a rude surprise. I called to request upgrade using Asiamiles. It needs to waitlisted, as usual. But I was advised that I can only waitlist for one flight as the policy changed on 15-Nov-08. I must hold a confirmed booking in economy before I can waitlist, since I am only allowed one confirmed economy flight, I can only waitlist for one upgraded flight. Furthermore, I cannot hold a confirmed upgrade while waitlisting for a different date. This is terrible, if true. Anyone has any recent experience?
