I plan to ditch AE at year-end and move back to UA, mainly because of this... right now I fly UA routes more than AC, so being able to use E+ would be genuinely useful. Of course, I'll build up 25k on other Star carriers, before I take my first UA flight...
No need to build up 25K on UA , I am assume the other *A is UA. If you do that you cannot request status match.
If you are travelling on UA more than AC and are Elite,you can go for status match for UA PE. As an AC Elite the request may take couple of weeks or so.The 1K desk may ask you to provide AE Statement as proof of your Status.
If you are AC SE most of the time you get it in 48 hours.
If requested correctly no reason for you not to get it.You need to call the MP 1K ?Premier desk.
