I get the impression that they are very frustrated by the lack of leadership of both, in this regard.
It seems to me that they feel the only place they are getting suggestions from are their fellow pilots or their union.
And I think that's why they keep saying "were're on our own now."</font>
If this is the case, then I certainly think every pax should support and adhere to the pilot's instructions, regardless of any personal discomfort.
However, the strict "Please remain seated" instructions give me visions of Roller Derby type scuffles as seated pax rush to an empy lav.
