That makes me service since when you purchase the E+ pass you state that you are agreeing to their terms & conditions, one of which is that the miles you earn on a flight will accrue to your UAMP account. I fear that if you did a last minute switch to another mileage program, the police cops might get after you.
AS SH , noted in his post, a gifted status has no such T&C.
It is like a a comp. elite status except it is not a one time thing. Once your gifted status expires you just have 1K gift you again.
