It is interesting that you mention that, because it reminded me of an overcharge at a hotel that I stayed at 5 times in 2007. It is actually a hotel that I like quite a lot, the Renaissance Scottsdale Resort. Because I have been a regular there for years, they treat me very well there. I have business in the Phoenix area, and also a lot of family, and this year I was in Phoenix/Scottsdale for both reasons, but unfortunately, the stay in question was an unpleasant family related stay, the death of my uncle. Because of that, my part of the family all flew out to Phoenix from the east coast, and we had three casitas (that hotel has casitas instead of traditional rooms), and we had various charges while we were there. I paid for all of the folios because I have the MR account, and I sent my mother a fax with the details. She was the one who caught the mistake, a charge for the hotel restaurant for $60 +/- from someone else's bill that ended up on one of ours. We did not have any restaurant charges, since we only had breakfast there, and that Ren RESORT comps breakfast for Plats, one of the reasons why I like it so much (FANTASTIC made to order breakfasts there by the way!) One call to the front desk there, and then one call to the business services number, and it got taken care of, there was a credit put on my card by the following statement. Usually I catch those things, but since there were three folios that time, I didn't.
