I believe what the OP meant is that the "Cathay Pacific" words that is directly above the Name, Class, B/NO, Bag, ACPT, RLOC, etc is now highlighted in black with the letters appearing in white. In the past it was "Cathay Pacific" in green font only. Also the orange strip is part of the tag (as oppose to another sticket pasted on top of the tag) that runs vertically on the left and right edge of the tag all the way down to where the flight #/date below the large font 3-letter final destination is. And yes these are the tags I've been getting the last two months on my ex-HKG flights.
