I just had a look at the NZ website and WOW... I think you are right..... I always thought an "infant" had NO baggage allowance beyond car seat etc...

The website goes into considerable detail about car seats (and approval stickers), which strollers can be taken onboard etc...

Being a cautious type I would call to make sure!!
