If you haven't bought a ticket yet, have a look at business class prices from Italy or Greece. LAX is too far for Economy (even Economy+), and you should be able to find flights for around €2000 return. BA tend to have a big advance purchase requirement for the cheap fares, so you may need to fly somebody else instead (e.g. KL/NW or LH/LX).
