On a paid flight, select UA if you are 1K or GS, good chance of actually flying F ;-)
Else, LH is pretty good (actually you know the quality: no variance). UA 747 only on row 15 or back of C cabin. UA 777 rows 8-9. With UA, flight experience is variable... when the FA are good they are friendlier than LH, else...
