I do find travel to Asia fairly easy on the body compared to Europe - particularly if I fly SQ2 on the return, as I arrive in time for dinner and then go straight to bed. Even if I take one of the flights that arrives mid-morning or mid-day I still find it easy to manage.
For some reason, jetlag when I head to Europe is just difficult - no way to get there other than an overnight, really (limited LHR options from JFK/ORD), and the flight times are awkward on the body. YMMV.
That is because for many people such as myself, the main cause for that is that we tend to adjust better to the local clock travelling westbound than we do eastbound. My body clock is severely screwed when coming back Asia-NA but hardly any problems when coming back Europe-NA.
