Sure. What I was trying to say is that RDM's can be redeemed for trips, rewards, etc. I can redeem them at a relatively constant rate for rewards. EQM's just count towards status. I don't "redeem" them. At the end of the year the counter automatically resets.

Let's take my care for example, I sit at 103K EQM's this year. I wouldn't get any value out of 5K more EQM's, so therefore they are TOTALLY worthless to me. I wouldn't pay a cent for them.... they get me nothing. OTOH someone sitting at 95K right now may very well pay $500+ for those EQM's since they are so close to reaching 1K, which comes with a ton of new benefits.
