The people with multiple accounts, other cheats to get around yearly point transfer caps, etc. are, in my opinion, a big part of the issue.
The AGR website now says "temporarily unavailable" next to Choice Hotels.
The other link for online redemption is still available from the AGR homepage.
Of course this change may be good for us who already have Choice points and who already stay in Choice hotels, as the killing of the golden goose may keep Choice points from devaluing too much.
