At the risk of resucitating an old thread, I was googling for an answer to what that freaky noise from the emergency exit row door was. Does anyone actually know what's going on in there?

I was on a 321 10A i think (with gobs of leg room ^ ) My first time back there. Really liked the seat maybe more than first...don't know, but that's not the point of this post...

So I'm in 10A right by the door and on climb out the door keeps making this eerie clicking/popping noise. At first i thought it was a locking mechanism or something, but it kept doing it every few minutes until we leveled off. It started its popping/clicky sound again as we were descending into CLT.

Now, I'm by no means a nervous flyer...probably just too curious for my own good, but when random important parts of the plane start making odd noises it raises my anxiety level a smidge. Watched one too many history channel documentaries about metal fatigue i guess

There could be a whole thread devoted to naming the odd airbus noise. Great drinking game for parties too!
