Wouldn't charcoal seats with (remember, not "bright") red piping or some other kind of accent look awesome? I remember seeing a pic of the interior of some European airline's aircraft online, which was done similarly, and thinking it was REALLY attractive.
Good point! Remember the old red seats? Check out the pics on airliners...not too pretty! And spend some time on Ryanair...a little color is a good thing, but too much and too bright, and it's just not pleasant. The new A330 fabric is nice. Simple, subtle, and clean. The old blue (doesn't it have some ugly red accents?) looks worn, dated and dirty, but certainly better than the coach bus seats of UA. The gray also seems to get a bit drab quickly...and no one wants to sit on a black seat!
