Thanks for posting this. Guess I have stayed at Motel 6 for the last time.

Photocopy my ID? I think not. There are enough opportunities for ID theft as it is, and now I'm going to hand out photocopies of my ID?

What next, retinal scans and fingerprinting? In co-operation with unnamed local authorities, of course.

And I wonder how long this information is kept? and how securely?

(Ironically, guest safety is cited as one of the reasons for requiring this information. I would feel a lot less secure knowing my personal information is floating around all over the place. I might as well just scan my IDs and post them on YouTube).
