As an employee, I wouls ask that you please wait until your called. It only polite. You don't go barging into a bank. (Maybe you do) The gate is a whole different world from the counter and the agents are under pressure to get the plane out on time and EVERYTHING is time management. At the smaller airports, the agents have to go clean the plane and have a lot more "side" duties versus a hub station where they a lot more staffing. I can bet that if everyone waiting until they were called, it would be a much better experience for everyone. As far as rude agents go, you shouldn't have to take that! There is a way to tell someone that you will be with them in a minute. I'll be honest, it's really not the 1k'S, It's the bus people. We can't tell the difference until you check in. The average 1K is dressed nice but some you just can't tell. You guys and gals know just as much as we do when it comes to travel. It's the people who don't fly that often are the ones who drive us cRaZy. Ask for a Supervisor or an Service Director next time. Sorry to hear about the rude agents.
