Yes on Int'l flts the 747 has 14- 15FA's but I have worked a few understaffed int'l 747's all I can say is that 4 FA's in Y incl which incl the aft purser ( the norm is 6 in Y) isn't a pretty site come arrival service and pickup.
My best understaffed Dom flt was on a 767 back when we still served meals in Y. we had 5 FA's so it was staffed 1 in F, 2 in C, and 2 in Y. I was so happy to work C galley/aisle that day.
Again the FA's numbers that I posted early are the FAA mins per AC not what UA's enhanced staffing due to the service or crew duty times.
