Huh? As a CO Plat, I nabbed all my early spring flights EWR to SFO on a recent, brief <$300 all-in sale. (My daily Farecast email had USAir starting the fight; CO was in later that day, and it ended very shortly thereafter, with fares back up to normal.) I earn something like $140 in miles on each round trip, leaving me at $160 net, or $80 each way.

I'd love to fly Virgin, but I simply can't afford to. Even their "secret" 25% discount (but please email it to all your friends!) doesn't come close to $80 each way. They have no volume discount, and no plans for one that I can see, so as a Plat it would be simply absurd for me to switch. Now, if someone else were paying, and I could plan far enough in advance to nab their seats in front, that would be another matter...

Have you ever checked the status of Virgin flights you would have been on, if you weren't flying CO? For one thing, JFK on the ground gridlocks every evening, making EWR look positively efficient by comparison.

Been watching Virgin America since the start, love the mood lighting, no way I'm budging.
