I really don't think that it was posted as a joke.

This weekend I found hair in my fruit plate in Business class on UA. I pointed it out to the FA but we both tried to talk me into thinking that it was part of fruit anatomy!

Because of our different cultural backgrounds, I wonder if she didn't see the general revulsion that some people feel about finding wierd stuff in our food.
