OK, just an update.

I am finishing a 10 day stay at the hotel, and just wanted to share a few updates.

The internet was finally fixed, it works well, I can see my slingbox without a problem, and can post in FT ^

The restaurant is very good, and love that Delmonico steak

One thing to note though, since I spent the weekend here I had the opportunity to have brunch here.

The brunch consisted of the same breakfast items that are served in the buffet during the weekdays, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, pancakes and French toast. With the usual assortment of fresh fruits, yogurts, pastries and juices.

The other side of the buffet consisted of teriyaki chicken, roast beef, ham, scalloped potatoes, peeled shrimp and cocktail sauce, veggies, biscuits and gravy, some fish, salmon with all the fixings( capers, dill cream cheese, etc ), salads, cheese tray with crackers and desserts (strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, pecan pie and their famous cookies)

I had a little bit of the breakfast fare, which was good as usual, then I sampled a little bit of the rest of the food items.

The peeled shrimp was good, and the fact that I didn't have to peel it and remove the intestinal track was excellent

But the chicken and roast beef were a little dry, actually the chicken was dry as a bone. I didn't try the fish, but I heard other patrons complaining about it.

The salmon was good, not exceptional, but good.

The sides were OK, but uninspiring. What was one supposed to have with the teriyaki chicken?

For dessert I had a strawberry shortcake which was delicious. I think it was the best part of the brunch. I also had a cookie

The brunch was average, and for $17, maybe a bit much

If they were more creative, like different sides, cooked to order omelets, something, but it was just plain.

Other than that, I enjoy staying here, and I am sure I will be back, but not for brunch
