Most people from the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic seem to connect at MIA for long-haul South America service, unless the only available deep discounts for a particular day are through ORD. IAD-EZE will be a
very welcome alternative to MIA in any case, particularly for those of us living in the DC area!
While it's true that there is relatively little connecting traffic at JFK, I doubt that JFK-EZE will be discontinued since the O&D traffic is so high - New York is a close second to Miami - and the loads still seem to support it. Not to mention that friendly competition from AA...
