I'm going trekking with a friend this summer in Nepal and Tibet. One of the flights we would like to take is between Lhasa, the principal city in Tibet and Kathmandu, Nepal. All of the guide books say that this flight exists - Lonely Planet Tibet, Let's Go India and Nepal etc. However, it is not in the OAG or on any of the web sites. Neither Royal Nepal Airlines nor the Chinese airlines that supposedly serve Tibet have their own web sites. I really would like to make sure this flight exists before we get there - otherwise we'll end up having to take a gruelling bus ride of "between 56 and 65 hours depending upon how many times the bus breaks down!" Perhaps this flight is seasonal. Anyway, if any one has any insight or information on this, I would really appreciate it if you could post it. Thanks a lot!!
