Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I would really appreciate the advice of frequent travellers to Cairns. We (family of 2 adults and two children) will be arriving at 6am on an overnight flight from Japan, then have a six-hour stoppver before taking the noon flight on to Sydney. Can anyone recommend a hotel near the airport where we could book a day room to have a shower and rest? We are Qantas Club members, but I'm guessing that a stay of more than an hour or two there would be more than enough. Any advice from others who have faced this kind of stopover would be very welcome.
