I had the same thing happen with an awards ticket when travelling with my wife from LAX to JFK. They put in my last name not hers (shes hyphenated), then I had them correct it, then they mispelled the correction. Here is a copy from my UAL.com. End result, once they get close unless your flying internationally, its more of a mess fixing it than its worth.

Took me a few minutes to line up the negatives with the positives.
