Today SFO-LAX: OLCI @24hr. ahead yielded A17, and I'm nobody special.
Stupidly, I engaged the guy in front of me as to whether he was an "A-Lister", cuz I'm curious about how all this is working out. I noted that I wasn't, and said I was surprised to get A17. He said yes he was, and actually went up to tattle on me, so to speak. (I really had A17!) The GA came over, asked me how many flights I'd taken in the last year, and said he was researching this..... Next time, I'll keep my trap shut, but probably I'm already marked.
There was one person at the front of the A line (A2-15 were barren). Turned out to be a FAM, the second I have ever seen and known it. She took the front seat, and when she reached up to the overhead, it was ALL there.
For all the above reasons, I'm not putting the flight number here.
NB: The guy who "outed" me said he'd been assigned his number at 36 hours ahead. (We took 11A and 11C; I figured I could learn more by suspending my Irish.)
