This story smells funny.
First, I would give the crown credit for having a good reason not to pursue this matter.
A silly knife as an offensive weapon is a bit blown out of proportion. Bringing in on board is a no no, but that does not seriously translate into that kind of a charge surely?
Smoking is a different matter, but who knows what the real story was?
Ditto about the "groping a woman" thing. If this is real, why did the RCMP drop it? But then if they dropped it, why mention the issue? Innuendo?
