I am currently AA PLAT (qualified Q4/2006 via challenge).
I have 23k EQM this year and was going to hustle to make sure to at least have GOLD next year, but then realized I'll have that by default anyway.

Question, provided AA comes with the $500-$600 offer to buy/retain PLAT, is it worth it? I know it depends on my valuation.

I guess I am most concerned with the probability of using my stickers as GOLD versus PLAT (I have about 20 in the bank). FYI: my home is BWI and I fly alot to MIA.

Is there a rough probability estimate for upgrade by elite status?
