Hello:

I recently flew from JFK-NRT-BKK and return. For the JAL portions from NRT-BKK-NRT I received the mileage+25% bonus for being on a business class ticket. JAL did not Award the mileage bonus for being platinum which is 100%of the mileage flown.

When I called Aadvantage customer service I was informed that only flights with codeshare AA#'s get the "elite mileage recognition". What is up with this? For business class tickets I have always received the 100% mileage bonus with one world partners (even Iberia)....now with JAL they have chosen not to award this?

I would suggest to all that as you plan you travel, you keep this in mind because from this point forward I won't even consider JAL for Transpacific flights if the mileage bonus is not there and will avoid them for interasia as well. I am angry about this.

ALSO...there is painfully little on the AA website about this.
