This is one of the good things about FT -- that people are treated generally with respect.
But I don't think the post is stupid. Why is it stupid to speculate about whether CO's providing free meals in coach is a good marketing decision but not stupid to speculate about other decisions like AVOD or whether seats slide or not etc? It is reasonable question -- if people complain about coach meals and it is possible that by charging more CO could offer higher quality meals, then that might be a good idea. I don't see why it is stupid to have a discussion about whether free meals is a good or bad thing but not stupid to discuss whether having or not having E+ is a good or bad thing. Meals are part of the inflight experience and it is reasonable to discuss whether having free ones of a quality that sometimes is not so great is the best strategy for CO.
