Around 2002, when I had both the Platinum Card and the Amex Blue, the exchange rate between Membership Rewards Points and Continental OnePass was 1 for 1. At times (circa 2002) there was often a 30% bonus on transfers. Perhaps this was because the airline industry was in a rut then. In 2004, I cancelled the Platinum Card, retained the Blue, and have noticed that the points to miles exchange rate is now 2 to 1. It takes 2 MR points to get 1 mile. Is that a change across the Membership Rewards program, or if you have a Platinum Card are there still exemplary points to miles ratios?
