Or IGIA as they call it there
Arrival: Same as before, no real problems and luggage out faster than LHR. Booked into the Taj Palace this time and they won me over with service. Driver was there. Greeted on arrival. Luggage whisked away, escorted directly to my room and check-in done with the butler (oh and cool, newly renovated rooms).
Departure: Well left the Taj at 5am for the 0655 departure. No real problems to the airport itself (15-20 minutes) and a bit congested coming into the departures area. But then it seemed all hell broke loose. Thankfully BA rep there this time and got some to take my luggage. Good thing as there were snaking queues just to get into the airport! They seem to be doing much more construction and and several entrances seemed closed. Well and then there are the CISF chaps

Do be sure to take a printout of your ticket!!
Depsite BA saying to use door 3, use shortest (I think 4 was for Air India and was mayhem. Of course I think about 98% of those in the area are going no where. The chap got me in at door 2 and it was actually closer to the check-in area for BA.
There were two combined First/Club/G/S desks. WT desk had a massive queue.
Immigration not too bad this time (only about 10 minutes).
The layout has now changed. There is a shed load of construction going on now.
The Clipper Lounge is now upstairs and is much bigger (no longer by the loos). Food is sort of crap (though a coffee was very welcome after two days of 4am starts!) But much more room than before. Don't know if there is still a separate First lounge, as didn't seem to see that many folks from the queue there. Much nicer though than the previous incarnation.
Security is now moved to right beside the duty free shops (where there was a central holding area). Wasn't too bad, but they had two male to every one pat down areas. Only took about 5-10 minutes, better than T4 FastTrack on the outbound to be honest.
Again, not a whole heck of a lot after security and do get those stamps!!
Flight left nearly an hour late but landed five minutes early (go figure).
First time on the mid-J config and still no upgrade (well J was about 50-60% full). WT+/- did seem packed.
Great flight with a real great crew too (put that on the survey and did personally tell CSD at the end of the flight as well!)
