Shocking treatment of Honeymooners
My cousin and his wife departed LHR on Monday bound from SFO at the start of their honeymoon. On arrival at EDI for their connecting flight bmi were unable to seat them together for the LHR-SFO leg. My Aunt had called UA in Dublin and advised that they were on their honeymoon and was told that it would be noted in the booking. On arrival at LHR they went to the UA desk but were told that nothing couldbe done. UA's respinse was "your lucky to be getting on. We are 30 overbooked."
Is this any way to treat customers, especially a young couple on honeymoon?
