Not sure what the exact rules on the Diner's Club card are - but you can trade Diner's Club points for AA miles - it's an indirect way to earn. Don't know much more about the Netherlands and cards available there. The best way is to look at alternative ways of earning AA miles. What about the Starwood Amex? Is that available in NL?
