A flight I should have taken this week would have given me the necessary miles for 2 C award tix from LAX-AKL.
Unfortunately, my flight BRU-ORD was cancelled, and I was transfered to American.
This has meant that I am not only roughly 9000 miles short on account of this cancelled flight, but that a 20,000 mile bonus (MPE031 - targetted, I believe), will be delayed in posting until miles for the cancelled flight are manually added - after I send a claim from London to Tuscon, AZ!
Does anyone have any experience of, or opinions as to whether MP may allow my account to go negative so that I can get my award tickets now?
I'd guess that the above process of sending in claim etc..etc would take a month or so, by which time availability for my award may have gone?
