I suspect that you'd only need a visa if you land in Ireland. I am not a lawyer though.
I'd check with the
Garda National Immigration Bureau and/or the
Department of the Marine (part of the
Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources) and/or the
Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Food to check specific regulations for the exact activity you'll be doing.
