On US, what's better than paid First is complimentary First
. Normal flying, plus Mileage Runs like some Flytertalkers do, should get you up to Preferred (and chance for comped upgrades) quickly...
Glad you liked your first experience in First. Of course, a meal would have been nice, but the "open bar" and snack basket help to make it fun!
